Man U vs. Barcelona - It's On!
Well, it's that time of year, when the starlings and starlets are flyin' and the champions of European soccer are going toe-to-toe to sort out who's boss. This year is a biggie; a repeat of the '09 UEFA Champions League final between Manchester United and Barcelona. Both teams will be coming to the US this summer, and playing each other in DC on July 30th. Man U came here last year, too, and they played to full houses across the country. Not sure if I'll be going to actually see any of these highly-billed games though. I have a long memory, and the War of 1812 wasn't that long ago. For Pete's sake there was a documentary on it just last week. Dontcha watch the History channel? Those Brits wrecked DC! Came straight up the Chesapeake and just - , oh don't mind me. United vs. Barcelona in DC will be a veritable soccer pageant, and probably none of that nasty hooliganism like they have back in the old country, too. We yanks know how to behave. That's why we get so greasy when we get attacked, y'know....anyway, I'll calm down here and go back to what I was doin'...hmm, what was that, now...ah, that's right, Bill Buckner's Wikipedia page....can you BELIEVE that guy?!? Oh well, now, what was I sayin'....
